Question : is there a way that once we send an OB message/SMS to the customer, we can get a Success notification/message/pop up on the agent desktop ? that the message was successfully delivered to the recipient.

You can receive a response from the recipient, but there is no message on successful delivery or failed delivery.
I recommend that if this is something you need, that you log a case. It would be considered a Product Enhancement Request. Please include a business use case as well within the case.
