As many customers are using Microsoft services anyway, they’d like to use Azure TTS as an alternative to Google or IBM.
(personal opinion: the German voices are much more sophisticated)
Hi Patrick,
I see it exactly the same way as you do. Each day, a new AI comes up for STT and TTS and each of has its strength and weaknesses in terms of languages. It would be nice if there were no limits on integration accounts to get more of these AI models tested.
Patrick,
have you tried any of the Google Chirp voices, those sound very good, i wonder if after listening those you’d still want Azure voices
here is the link to samples for all the supported languages in their best quality

Even in Japanese, Azure TTS seems more natural compared to Google TTS’s Chirp.

Additionally, some customers cannot adopt Google TTS due to security concerns.
Specifically, it cannot meet TISAX standard requirements when used in Japan.
Could you please consider adding it as a TTS option?
