# Require service for outbound calll

There is a setting that is called “Require service for outbound calls” and I know how it works my only question is what is the use of this setting? Does it affect whose service will be billed for that outbound call etc.?

If you are doing your billing based on outbound services then it absolutely can. However, the business use case of this setting is simply to force the agent manually dialing to think about what service the call should be associated with.
